This is another possibility to navigate from the heart of Amsterdam to the south and southwest. This stretch consists of the Amstel (26km) to the Tolhuissluizen, where the Vaart continues into the Aakanaal (11km) which continues after Gouwsluis as Gouwe (14km) and gets to Gouda.
