As one of the few Belgian Class I canals, corresponding more or less to the French Gabarit Freycinette, this canal is the pleasant link from north to south. It runs from the Zeeschelde in the north to the Nimy-Blaton-Péronnes Canal in the south and thus crosses the provinces of Henegau and Ooost-Vlanderen. It is recommended for all those whose purpose is to get to know the country and its people.
