Chioggia - Po

From Brondolo at the River Brenta to the Po and into the natural preserve of the delta
The canals "di Valle" and "Po - Brondolo" are the connection of the inland waterways between the River Po and the south of the Laguna of Venice. With lock dimensions of 81 x 10 metres they have been rather attractive for commercial navigation until a few years ago. Today both canals are almost more used by leisure boaters. The canals meet on the River Adige, where the two locks of Conca di Cavanella d'Adige Sinistra and Destra are.
From there, one has the possibility to continue on the River Adige to the Adriatic Sea.
A bit further to the south, the Canale Po - Brondolo meets the Po di Levante. It offers a short side trip to the northern parts of the natural preserve of the delta and the old harbour for fisherman of Porto Levante.
