The Fens, Norfolk
River Cam
River Glan
River Welland

The Fens
are with the many linked rivers and canals one of the most popular recreation areas of the capital. The flat, with almost a bit of a Dutch-like, surrounding is very attractive to boater, ramblers and bikers.

River Cam
plays an important role as recrational area for the university town of Cambridge. It is not always easy to reconcile all the different demands upon the river.
General information: Length: 22 kilometres, locks: 3, width: 4.20m, head room: 3.20m and draught: 1.20.

River Glen
A short link of river Welland, unfortunately it has no infrastructure.
Length: 19 km, no locks.

River Welland
this is the link from the Wash to Stamford. It is, for its high banks until the by-pass at Spalding, not very pleasurable. Afterwards the river becomes more and more natural.
Length: 56 km, 1 lock.
