River Severn and Gloucester Sharpness Canal

River Severn and Gloucester & Sharpness Canal
The Severn rises almost at the Atlantic coast of  Wales, accompanies then the Montgomeryshire Canal to the north and turning then to the southwest of England. Even though Severn is the longest river of England, it is navigable only for just under 70 km.  At Gloucester, navigation changes onto the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal on which one reaches then the Mouth of the River Severn.
Depending on water level, navigation on this waterway is rather demanding.
