River Ouse Navigation with River Ure and Ripon Canal
In the northwest of York, at Ripon, the journey starts on the Ripon Canal, soon after, one changes for some kilometres onto the River Ure which, at Linton, changes its name into River Ouse until it flows into the Humber. The dimensions indicated refer to the head waters with Ripon Canal and rivers Ure and Ouse until York, afterwards the locks are much larger (45.70 x 7.70m). Navigation offers a lot of variation here and is therefore suitable to anyone.
