Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation
This waterway leads from Sheffield northwards over Rotherman, Bramwith and the Stainforth & Keadby Canal to the River Trent and therewith into the Humber.
In 1980, locks from Bramwith Junction to Doncaster were broadened for large vessels. Above Doncaster the waterway is used for leisure navigation only.
Infrastructure along the way has been improved continuously. Let's hope for increasing interest for it in future.
