Canal Imperial de Aragón

Canal Imperial de Aragón
it is perhaps not the most beautiful, as far as landscape is concerned, but by far the proudest within the fantastic canal system of Aragón. Its mighty locks remind of the Canal du Midi.
The canal led from Rio Ebro, south of Zaragoza, parallel to the river to Tuledo, where it flew into the Ebro again. Today, it would be navigable over quite some stretches but the lock gates are missing and some new bridges are a bit low.
